SAILING AWAY

A day gliding through the azure-blue waters and tiny Islands of the Grenadines is truly to experience a slice of Heaven. Privately chartered aircraft whisk guests off to one of the many tiny, unspoiled jewels in the fabulous Grenadines, a part of the world that time seems to have forgotten.

Just a short hop and  a quick jitney ride around the end of the airport runway, and it's off to a privately chartered luxury catamaran, for an enchanting day of sailing. There's a certain exhilaration that keeps sailors sea-bound for life and it always begins with the flurry of activity in hoisting the sails, feeling the "crack" of the sailcloth as the wind catches them for the first time.

A mere 20 minutes later, guests can enjoy a wonderful continental breakfast on board. Then its "anchors aweigh" and off to more mystical Islands for some of the best snorkeling, swimming and diving in the Caribbean.

The next stop is at a breathtaking beach for a sumptuous Island lunch and more time to explore the aquamarine waters in the magnificent sheltered bay to swim, snorkel, wind surf, sunbathe, or do as the "natives" do - nothing!!

As with all good things, this day too, must come to an end. All too soon, its time to sit back and relax while the Captain charts his course back to Union for the flight back to Barbados.
